Student motivation is a major challenge of the 21st century in education. How to get the student active, focused and cooperative? Often, the resources available on a daily basis are not enough, so Dilabot45, developed on the Keyes 4WD car (hereinafter referred to as Robot) is a great opportunity to make the learning process more diverse and interesting for students. Robots are an opportunity to build cross-curricular connections and develop cross-cutting skills such as digital collaboration and self-directed learning. Critical thinking and problem solving are developed. Pupils also develop virtues such as responsibility and honesty.

The robot is equipped with several sensors that provide different functions. The front of the robot has an LED matrix display and the robot can be controlled with a remote control. Each remote is individually programmed, it allows to use several robots in one room at the same time.

In the methodological materials, tasks have been developed that use various capabilities of the robot. By performing the tasks, the students learn new knowledge and skills, as well as apply the existing ones in a new situation, when information must be obtained from the robot and entered using the remote control. The robot enables students to get instant feedback on their answers and performance level. The teacher can assess the level of knowledge of each student by seeing how far he goes with each task.

The teacher does not need to specially prepare the robots before doing the task. They must be running and with charged batteries. The teacher tells the students which task they should choose, and further information is given on the students' worksheets. Pupils practice reading the task instructions, because it is only possible to answer correctly by following exactly what is required.
